on all stairs or rooms that store hazards in them
Place door knob covers
or door locks on basements, garages and/or cellars
Place door stops/holders
on all doors - remove the end caps on older doorstops
Bracket all heavy tall
furniture (Bookcases, entertainment centers, large TV)
DO NOT USE plug in small plastic
nightlights with small bulbs
Place plants out of
reach
Guns- unloaded and
in a lockbox or trigger lock. Ammunition should kept in separate location
Keep all candle lighters, matches out of reach or in

lock on the toilet lid
Place medication (including Vitamins) in a locking cabinet
- ask for childproof caps with buying
Place grab bars and anti-slip on the floor, tub and shower
Anti-Scald Devices for faucets and shower heads - set
at 120 degrees Fahrenheit

or door locks on all bathroom and bedroom doors

Extra Bedroom Safety
Place child's crib/bed away from drapery or window cords.
Remove mobiles or hanging toys as soon as child can touch
